An interactive workshop that can be tailored to meet your interests, our standard package includes the following:
- Oysters 101: Comprehensive presentation on oyster geography, species, history, aquaculture techniques and other trivia, with accompanying educational handouts.
- Tasting: A selection of one dozen East and West Coast oysters, with a range of salinities, flavors and textures to demonstrate the diversity of oyster profiles. Tasting sheets and tasting wheel will be provided to spur an active discussion of oyster merroir.
- Shucking: Hands-on demonstration of how to shuck an oyster, with the opportunity to shuck six oysters with guidance.
- Takeaway: Receive a commercial quality, stainless steel shucking knife for your future shucking endeavors.

“We had Crystal over at our home for an oyster workshop with 4 participants. During a 2 hours workshop we learned about different types of oysters, the growing process and the cultivation. Additionally we each tasted a dozen oysters of which we shucked half ourselves. Crystal did a fantastic job at making it a fun activity.
